In the short term, there is a lot of hope and positive optimism in the markets based on the many possibilities to come out of the U.S. economy as we head into a second Trump presidency. His promises on tariffs, immigration and deregulation are all being met with initial positivity both by the U.S. people and the investment markets. In Canada, markets have been very good this year, however our GDP is a concern, and we don’t currently see anything major occurring to alter this path. 2025 is an election year for us in Canada, it will be interesting to see how our markets react as we head down our own campaign trail next year. Even with Halloween last month, there were no scares for the markets in October, as they continued to be positive. Although, the gains were more modest than in previous months.
